This interactive workshop session will explore the impact that digital technology, and the Cloud in particular, is having on public sector organizations. It will provide an opportunity to share and understand some of the strategies that are being adopted to address the many challenges that exist. The workshop will consist of three parts.
We start with an exploration of the whole area of digital technology and clarification about what it actually means. After a short initial introduction a presentation will be given by James Ham from the Office for National Statistics (ONS). James will describe the journey that ONS has started, the issues that they have had to face and the benefits that it will enable them to realize.
We will then split into a series of smaller working groups. As well as an opportunity for sharing and networking these will consist of facilitated discussions on a variety of topics related to the successful adoption of new technology.
Finally we will return into one plenary group and use the feedback from the working groups as the basis for an expert panel discussion on the subjects raised. This is intended to provide you with the advice and guidance that you need to be able to develop an action plan for your own organisation’s journey.
The briefing has been designed to be valuable, informative and enjoyable. We do hope that you can join us.
